Good afternoon Philemon family. Happy (Thankful) Thursday! We hope that everyone is having an awesome, fabulous, and blessed week. The Philemonism for this week is a simple one. Our lives can get so filled up with being busy, entertainment, family life, responsibilities, and many other things. We get so distracted that we forget to pursue one of the most central commands of our faith: to share the Good News of Jesus with everyone! The world is lost, hurt, broken, confused, and searching. Each of us is called into the ministry of Jesus in some way. We are called to be people who wish to make known and spread the love of God and His care for His people in the world. We may never know how much we have done this; it is sufficient that we do what we can. God has some work to do that can be done only through each person. When we pray, we should ask that we use our gifts and talents as best we can in God's service. Whenever we share the love of Jesus with someone, we have the assurance that we are sharing the desires of our heavenly Father. Let’s prioritize sharing the Good News as our hurting world needs to hear this message more than ever before! Continue to be safe, be blessed, be a blessing, stay prayed up, pray for one another, and live your life to its fullest by making everyday and every minute count. 😁🙏⛪️

Good afternoon Philemon family. Happy (Thankful) Thursday! We hope that everyone is having an awesome, fabulous, and blessed week. The Philemonism for this week is a simple one. Where do you turn when you’re scared, you get bad news, or your world falls apart? Some run to a friend or a special place. Some try to hide by getting lost in a TV show or movie. Others numb the pain by leaning on alcohol and other substances. In Daniel chapter 9, Daniel gets devastating news. Jerusalem, the city he loves, must lie desolate for 70 years. But instead of running from the fear and pain, Daniel turns to the Lord (See Daniel 9:3). When bad things happen, our first instinct is often to run. We beg God to remove us from the situation as quickly and as pain-free as possible. But Daniel doesn’t do that. Instead, he acknowledges that God’s punishment is deserved and takes responsibility for Israel’s disobedience (See Daniel 9:5-14). Then, Daniel repents and asks for forgiveness (See Daniel 9:15-16). Allowing ourselves to experience grief over our sin is the first step to moving past it. Not numbing or running from conviction is the spiritual equivalent of shining a light under the bed. By allowing ourselves to see the situation as it is, we can begin the process of replacing what the lies we believed with the truth of the Bible. We have to face reality to change reality. When we rush to get out from under the pain, we miss out on what God wants to do in our pain. As Daniel was praying, a messenger from God reminded him (See Daniel 9:23). Israel experienced the consequences of their behavior, but it didn’t last forever and it put an end to their sin (See Daniel 9:24). Like Daniel, you are precious to your Father in heaven. God hears you, and He loves you too much to let sin remain. Continue to be safe, be blessed, be a blessing, stay prayed up, pray for one another, and live your life to its fullest by making everyday and every minute count. 😁🙏⛪️

Good evening Philemon family. Happy New Year and (Fresh Word) Friday! We hope that everyone had an awesome, amazing, and blessed week. The Philemonism for this week is a simple one. It’s been said that life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans. Enter the coronavirus, life’s latest ‘happening’ that radically changed all our plans. One casualty for everyone might have been not being able to go away on vacation or changing the way their children attend school. You grieve what might have been and grapple with confusion, or outright fear, about the future. Naming and expressing those emotions is an important part of coming to terms with your experience. In the Bible, God’s people are honest in their expression of grief, doubt, fear, sorrow. But those expressions are always illuminated by words that turn us to the Lord – to His comfort, His assurance, His presence, His encouragement. Christ, the light of the world, helps us see our losses in the right perspective. Solomon’s words in Proverbs 16:9 caution us to hold our plans loosely, because they often do not unfold according to our expectations. God guides our steps, and he has the right to change our plans. This comforts me, because it reminds me that the Lord is not surprised by an out-of-control microbe. In fact, it’s actually part of His plan. When our plans are canceled, we might think that all of our preparation was for nothing, and that our time and thought and prayer about it was a waste. Not so! Even though things did not turn out as planned, God is faithful to use it all for our sanctification according to His wise plan. Whatever alternative God has for you for 2026 is not Plan B. He has something better for you that your plans could not accomplish. Having our paths redirected can be confusing (see Proverbs 20:24). But what an opportunity to really walk by faith! God asks us to trust Him. He doesn’t ask us to trust that things will work out according to our desires, but to trust Him – moment by moment, day by day, month by month, year by year. That’s why it’s called a walk of faith (2 Cor. 5:7). Our current situation gives us the opportunity to do just that, to walk with a known God into an unknown future. He is very much on His throne and in control. So as you go through the rest of this month and year, I challenge us to look for ways the Lord is bringing our steps in line with His plan. Continue to be safe, be blessed, be a blessing, stay prayed up, pray for one another, and live your life to its fullest by making everyday and every minute count. 😁🙏⛪️

Good afternoon Philemon family. Happy Thanksgiving and (Transformation) Thursday! We hope that everyone is having an awesome, amazing, and blessed week. The Philemonism for this week is a simple one. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus invites us to ask, seek and knock. Why? He doesn’t want us to marginalize Him and thereby slip into self dependency and self sufficiency. According to Matthew 6:25-34, this is a recipe for worry, stress and anxiety. We say we believe in God, but we live as if He does not exist or is irrelevant for daily living. If you want to walk in the Spirit, switch to God dependency living. Learn to ask, seek and knock about everything. No need is to small or to big for God. He wants to be included in every detail of our lives. He wants to show Himself mighty and strong on behalf of those who seek Him. He wants to be both subconsciously and consciously present in our lives. Don’t be passive about seeking God! Make the pursuit of God your top priority and number one passion. We have not because we ask not. We ask and receive not because we ask with wrong motives. God is distant because we shun the invitation to draw near to Him. We are not actively seeking Him. Doors remain closed because we are not knocking in the power of the Holy Spirit out of a relationship of intimacy with God. I sincerely believe Jesus invites us into a radically different kind of relationship with God. He doesn’t want us to be religious, He wants us to surf on the wake of the supernatural in our daily walk with Him. He wants to be present in our lives in mighty and powerful ways. He wants us to dwell in His presence as He overflows into every area of our lives. When you move down the path of Spirit filled living, Matthew 7:7-8 becomes normal. It will blossom into your new mode of operation. Asking, seeking and knocking will roll together into constant communion with Christ. Continue to be safe, be blessed, be a blessing, stay prayed up, pray for one another, and live your life to its fullest by making everyday and every minute count. From my family to yours, I wish every one of you a very happy and joyous Thanksgiving!!!!😁🙏⛪️🦃🍁
