😨 “Why Umar Could Never Surpass Abu Bakr”

Umar ibn al-Khattab said that one day the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him encouraged the companions to give charity.

Umar decided that this would be the day he would surpass Abu Bakr in good deeds, so he brought half of his wealth.

But Abu Bakr arrived and donated everything he owned for the sake of Allah.

When the Prophet asked what he had left for his family, Abu Bakr replied: “I left for them Allah and His Messenger.”

Umar later admitted that he realized he could never surpass Abu Bakr.

“Your Qurbani May Not Count If You Do This
