Emotionally Healthy Discipleship

Emotionally Healthy Discipleship Around the world, too many pastors and church leaders are running on empty.

We exist to help pastors and leaders cultivate emotional health and a slowed-down spirituality to move from empty to flourishing for the sake Jesus’ mission in the world.

What is the Lectio Divina? Swipe right to discover its origin and the four movements as you apply this ancient spiritual practice to your Scripture reading.

Most of us were trained to read the Bible the way we were trained to lead — move fast, cover ground, extract what’s useful, and get back to work. But what if that approach, by itself, is keeping you from the very transformation you’re trying to produce in others? In the latest episode of the Emotionally Healthy Leader Podcast, host Pete Scazzero shares about Lectio Divina including origins, practical implications and ways it transformed his daily time with God.

We’ve been taught to equate loud with alive.
Full calendars. Quick replies. Constant motion.
As if a life that can’t be heard from the outside must not be worth much.

But the soul doesn’t grow best in noise.

It grows in the slow, often unnoticed spaces—
in the morning light that comes through the window before anyone else is awake,
in the quiet prayers you can barely put words to,
in the long obedience of choosing presence over performance.

A quiet life is not a small life.
It is a rooted one.

It’s the kind of life where you begin to notice what’s actually going on inside of you.
Where you stop outsourcing your worth to productivity.
Where you learn that God is not in a hurry, even when you are.

There is a kind of healing that only comes when the volume is turned down.
Not because everything is perfect, but because you’ve stopped running from what’s real.

So if your life feels slower than you expected…
if it looks simpler than what you once imagined…
if there are long stretches that feel hidden or ordinary—

you’re not behind.

You might just be right where formation happens.

Don’t be afraid of a quiet life.
It may be the very place your soul learns to breathe again.

If you’re longing to live from that kind of rooted, unhurried place, and to redefine success, consider this your invitation to next week’s webinar.

When we say that next week’s webinar will change everything, we mean it. Because after countless years of supporting pastors and church leaders, we’ve discovered there’s an underlying and hidden pressure. It causes you to feel weary, question your leadership and at times even run from your calling. But there’s a third and better way.
