The Pontifical Mission Societies in the U.S. Official missionary arm of the Catholic Church

The Pontifical Mission Societies (TPMS) is a global network under the guidance of the Pope that provides resources to under-served populations in over 1,100 mission territories. As the official missionary arm of the Catholic Church, we seek to carry out the work of evangelization and charitable works throughout the world. The Pope specifically asks us to bring the message of Christ to the entire globe, especially in countries where Christianity is new, young, or poor.

Today, the bishops of the United States will consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

As Pope Francis taught, "the flames of love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus expand through the Church's missionary outreach, which proclaims the message of God's love revealed in Christ."

The consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is meant to ignite us with a renewed sense of mission, not just from "sea to shining sea" but across the seas to missionary territories.

To bring fire everywhere is the mission of the Church.

May the flames of Christ's love renew our hearts and strengthen us to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

In his new encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo XIV reminds us that engaging in dialogue with the world is not just a tactical choice, but a true expression of the Church's mission.

When we share the Gospel, it acts like leaven that can transform the structures of society from the inside out and forge paths toward a greater humanity. 🌍🕊️

How are you called to be a leaven of transformation and dialogue in your own community today?
