Fasting is a voluntary decision to give up food, social media, or other habits for a period of time in order to focus on God, strengthen our faith, and grow spiritually.

Why do young people fast?
• To seek God’s direction
• To strengthen their character
• To overcome distractions
• To grow in spiritual discipline
• To better hear the voice of God

Matthew 6:17–18

When you fast, do it for God, not so that others will see you.

Practical examples for youth:
• Fasting from social media for 24–72 hours
• Fasting from one meal a day
• Fasting from video games or TV shows
• Fasting from secular music

➡️ That time is used to pray, read the Bible, and reflect.

El ayuno es una decisión voluntaria de dejar comida, redes sociales u otros hábitos por un tiempo, para enfocarnos en Dios, fortalecer nuestra fe y crecer espiritualmente.

Para qué ayunan los jóvenes?
• Para buscar dirección de Dios
• Para fortalecer su carácter
• Para vencer distracciones
• Para crecer en disciplina espiritual
• Para escuchar mejor la voz de Dios

Mateo 6:17–18

Cuando ayunes, hazlo para Dios, no para que otros lo vean.

Ejemplos prácticos para jóvenes:
• Ayuno de redes sociales por 24–72 horas
• Ayuno de una comida al día
• Ayuno de videojuegos o series
• Ayuno de música secular

➡️ Ese tiempo se usa para orar, leer la Biblia y reflexionar.

This Christmas, we gather with grateful hearts to celebrate the greatest gift ever given to humanity: Jesus Christ, our Savior. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us—not in a palace, but in humility; not with noise, but with heaven’s authority and peace.

Christmas reminds us that God stepped into our broken world to bring hope where there was despair, light where there was darkness, and life where there was death. No matter what this year has looked like for you—whether full of joy or filled with challenges—Jesus was born for this very moment in your life.

Today we declare that Christ is still Emmanuel—God with us. He walks with us, restores us, and renews our strength. As we celebrate His birth, may our hearts be filled with worship, gratitude, and renewed faith for what God is about to do.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…” (Isaiah 9:6)

May the peace of Christ reign in your homes, and may the joy of the Lord be your strength—today and always.
