Introducing a new look for Trinity Lower East Side, designed by Champions Design.

Taking inspiration from the distinctive bronze lettering on the façade of our building and our red and gold set of vestments and paraments, our new logo and monogram are deeply rooted in a sense of place and our remarkable 183-year history in the heart of the Lower East Side while simultaneously coaxing us to imagine how the Holy Spirit leads us into new and exciting futures.

Our gratitude to the immensely creative team at Champions for the intentionality and care with which they worked on this project!

🐾 Next Sunday, October 4, join us on the Feast of Saint Francis for the annual Blessing of the Animals!

🐰 At 11:00 all leashed or contained pets are welcome to join us for our full Sunday service in the sanctuary (approx. 1 hour, though the blessing takes place early in case your pet needs to leave). All creatures join their voices in praise to the God of love!

🐶 At 2:00 we gather in our garden for a more brief blessing for those pets (or parents - we don’t judge) for whom sitting through a whole service might be a challenge.

We can’t wait see our community’s fabulous furry friends gathered together here at Trinity!

Did you know that Trinity maintains records dating back to our first baptisms in 1841?

We occasionally receive requests to search the archives for genealogical records, so yesterday Pastor Will and Vicar Wayne and Pastor Will opened them up to search for a wedding that took place in 1872. Handwritten in German, our archives provide a fascinating glimpse into the immigrant experience on the Lower East Side, and are an invaluable part of our parish and community’s historical record.

Next Tuesday, Sept 22, SOFTCRUSH comes to the Churchyard Sessions at Trinity Lower East Side to close out our inaugural season of outdoor community performances in our garden highlighting the talents of our beloved neighborhood.

Come Tuesday at 7:30 for a fantastic unplugged set inspired by the golden ages of rock and punk with a modern edge. A $10 suggested donation at the door supports the artists and Trinity’s work in the community.

THIS SUNDAY!!!!
Homecoming Sunday invites us to “come home” to Trinity, whether you’ve been here a hundred times or you’re just walking through our doors for the first time. You’ll find a loving and inclusive community where are all are truly welcomed as they are, worshiping in the Lutheran tradition and serving our neighbors with open hearts and minds.

Homecoming worship will be followed by our annual Homecoming BBQ. Burgers and hot dogs (with meatless options!) will be provided; you’re invited to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share.

We can’t wait to see you!
