During Lent there is a special moment when we celebrate Lenten retreats. This coming weekend, we will celebrate this holy time together. It is a time of reflection, self-examination, and renewal. Just as Jesus withdrew to the wilderness to prepare for His ministry, we too step back from the busyness of our lives to deepen our relationship with God.
In our busy world, it's easy to become distracted and lose sight of our spiritual needs. Lent invites us to retreat from distractions - technology, social obligations, or even unhealthy habits - to create space for prayer, meditation, and contemplation. This intentional withdrawal allows us to encounter God more fully.
Moreover, this time of retreat fosters community. Whether through organized parish retreats or personal time of solitude, we connect with others on a similar journey. Sharing experiences and prayers can strengthen our bonds and encourage one another in faith.
As we approach Easter, please join us and take some time to reflect, pray, and prepare our hearts to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. May our Lenten retreats lead us to a deeper understanding of His love and a renewed commitment to live as His disciples.
