On May 28, the Pension Boards’ Chief Investment Officer Lan Cai and Wespath’s CIO Johara Farhadieh, co-Chaired the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility CIO Roundtable, bringing together investment leaders from across the ICCR community to share promising practices for aligning investments with organizational values while furthering the coalition’s mission of social justice and environmental responsibility.

This year’s convening was especially meaningful as it coincided with ICCR’s 55th anniversary, of which the Pension Boards is a founding member. The event marked a milestone that highlights more than five decades of faith-based investor leadership and the continued evolution of values-based driven investing in an increasingly complex world.

This spring, the Rev. Dr. Paul Ramsey, Director of Church Relations and Philanthropy at the Pension Boards – UCC, visited Bethany First Church in Bethany, Connecticut. He met with the Rev. Jonathan Paredes, his friend and colleague, to bring greetings from the Pension Boards and to express heartfelt thanks for Bethany First Church’s longtime generosity to The Christmas Fund.

For over 100 years, The Christmas Fund has cared for our United Church of Christ community in times of need, providing emergency grants and Christmas “Thank You” gift checks each December to our retirees who need them most. Consider donating to The Christmas Fund and help make a meaningful difference, just as Bethany First Church continues to do.
