A Mother’s Day Poem

Mother’s Day is a special day use to honor some special people.
And what makes them so very special is how God created them to be.
They are created with two loving breasts, two very caring hands, and a heart that melts
With very tear or joy her little one express.

It did not happen by chance; she was a special design
for the one who created all of us knew exactly what we needed.
With love in His heart the master created a masterpiece of art.
He gave her life and beauty with a heart to care and love.
Then gave Eve to Adam, the only caretaker, to behold and to love.

The fruits that she bore was a hundred-fold and has not yet stop bearing.
Her offspring fills the earth with beauty and with the same love of the great Master creator.
Her love transcends through all mankind as day by day we are touched, by it on every side.

Mothering has never stopped even when her kids are grown,
With frail bodies and dim old eyes, yet in her heart that fire still burns with love for those she bore.
We celebrate Mother’s Day with flower, food, perfumes and more, but a hug and a kiss can do much more.
Thank you, God for our physical mothers and for our spiritual mothers too
Thank You for allowing them to show us the great love You have for mankind.

The Glory and Praise of Easter

Let the praises of the Lord rise among us!

There is a lot to praise God for daily but when it comes to Easter it reminds us even more to let our praises rise even higher. We must praise God for what He did for us on Calvary. For the shame and suffering He bore to save us, to give us eternal life and a seat of honor. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ not only ushers us into heaven but also brings with it healing, love, peace, hope, power, and the Holy Spirit.

I still find it daunting that God should pay such a high price for wretched sinners like us. The more I watch the news, listen to social media, the darkness of sin becomes ever darker. The sinful nature of man becomes more and more evident. What could God have seen in us. When He created man, He said it was very good – really! Yes, really! We were made in His own image, in the likeness of Him. His love for us began at creation and though we sinned and have brought Him sorrow and grief His love for us never failed.

“'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. '” — Jeremiah 29:11. This verse gives me hope. Hope that whatever happens in my life God is with me and not with me only but with all who trust in Him. God’s love for us is relentless. He sent His only Son from heaven to dwell among sinful men. He suffered abuse, insults, spat upon, mocked, and then killed in the most undignified way all to redeem us from the penalty of sin and then give us a hope and a future.

The price paid was hefty, so we should not take Easter for granted, celebrating it with chocolate and big family dinners, instead we must reflect deeply on the reason for the season. It pains my heart when I ask children what Easter means to them and their reply is Chocolate and Easter Bunny. As Christians let us work steadfast in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ so that the glory of the Lord will rise among us.

Easter

He is risen

“What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.”

Amid everything that is happening in the world today we can still celebrate this Easter season. With all the lives that are lost this year, over half a million in this United States and millions around the world, many have come to realize that our HOPE is found only in the cross of Calvary.

It is not possible for us to know how many of those millions of people have gone to be with the Lord. For those of us who, by His grace, are still here, we have the opportunity to make sure of where we are going. If for any reason you are not sure, I pray you will reconcile with God - today. The Bible says in Romans 10:13 "for, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”

Easter is a time for celebration, of course, Good Friday is a sad day when Jesus took the punishment for the sin of all mankind; all our shortcomings was buried in the grave with Him (read Romans 5:8). Then comes Easter Sunday, the most festive day on the Christian calendar. It commemorates Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead and symbolizes a new life in Christ. The gates of heaven are now open to all who believe.

Wishing you a Wonderful and Blessed Easter
