Sermon Notes- 2 Chronicles 6
"This Place. This Building"
The place has a purpose. King Solomon said I know this place can't contain you but I want you to have a place. We need G-d to accept the place. If churches have a mortgage on it the it does not belong to G-d, it belongs to the bank.

Do I have to go to church since He is everywhere. Solomon says he knows G-d will be there, no matter where He goes. So, always behave in a way understanding that G-d sees all. G-d tells Solomon that His heart, His ears, His eyes are upon us. He knows the deep secrets of every heart.

Intimacy. There is no intimacy like recognizing G-d's intimacy. When Adam did not meet at that secret place with G-d one evening, G-d knew. Adam could not cover up his sin.

Search me O G-d and know my heart. Try me and know my ways. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost. He lives in us. He sees he knows, He cares. If we recognize that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves with Him, G-d. It is an appointment we have with G-d. When we gather G-d is waiting on us. He watches over us even when we slumber and sleep.

One symbol of the church is our intimacy we have with G-d. The Lord is in His Holy temple. Let us speak to G-d first.

He sees. He made us naked. He knows us because He made us. The House of G-d was built for His Name.

We chose friends, but G-d selects our families. And often we are closer to friends then we are to our family.

If Jesus didn't have a problem bringing men along then the church should not have an issue bringing males into the church.

So why are there no millennials in church. There is a straight talk we don't do with our children. Often the dishonesty at home is not attractive. Now that the children are not under our roofs, they have an option not to go to church. Because we don't lift Jesus.

G-d is a people G-d. There's some house cleaning we need to do so our children will feel welcome in His house. G-d needs to hear from us sometime. We have another chance with our children.

We have kidnapped our children. If we would just turn our children over to G-d, He will take care of them. Bring G-d back into the picture. Teach us not only what to say, but how to say it. Forgive us for we know not what we do. We come presenting the millenials to you.
