The Masjid's expansion project has kicked off this last Thursday.

We have contracted a licensed abatement contractors to remove asbestos(toxic materials) that were found during a DEP-certified investigator's test.

It is a requirement by the NYC DEP to have an asbestos-free construction zone before being issued a demolition and construction permit to start work.

Mount Hope Masjid is one of the first and oldest Masajid in New York City. The Masjid Needs to expand due to our ever-growing Muslim community which has caused an influx in congregants and students. The Masjid is buying the building next to it.
