I finally found myself again. I want another chance to love again."

At the end of his life, St. Thomas Aquinas looked upon the work of his lifetime and realized that nothing compared to the beauty of knowing God.

In a world that measures people by success and achievement, his witness reminds us that our deepest identity is found elsewhere.

St. Martin de Porres reminds us that a life rooted in love is built through small, faithful acts of service. In caring for others through daily tasks, he revealed the extraordinary beauty of humility.

Sometimes the holiest work is the work no one sees.

Born into slavery, St. Pierre Toussaint spent his life serving others with quiet generosity. Through his work, he cared for the poor, supported orphanages, and gave dignity to those often forgotten.

His witness reminds us that real transformation begins with seeing the humanity in one another.

This Saturday, Judy Vitanza-Kattan is hoping to sell 200 copies of Light and Shadow’s Dreamy Adventures to unlock a matching gift, and we need your help to get there.

Judy has long been a generous friend and benefactor of Thrive For Life, helping transform lives behind and beyond prison walls. It was a real privilege to host Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez () and her team at Abraham House today.

We walked through the spaces where life unfolds each day. Classrooms where goals take shape, shared tables where conversations linger, and quiet routines that slowly rebuild stability. From education and OSHA certification to our weekly food pantry, it was a chance to see how steady, consistent support can foster growth over time.

We’re especially grateful for how present, responsive, and genuinely invested her office has been behind the scenes. That kind of care reaches further than people realize.

Thank you for taking the time to be with our community!

We belong to a God who loves, who cares, and who calls us into communion with Him.

And it is there, in that relationship, that we discover who we truly are.

We are not alone. We are not forgotten. We are called to become one with His love.

A physician who did more than treat illness, he cared deeply for the people in front of him, especially those who could not afford it.

St. José Gregorio Hernández shows us how meaningful it is to offer that kind of presence and attention to others.

For Messiah, it began with stillness.

In this conversation at Abraham House, he shares how meditation has shaped his journey by offering clarity, peace, and a new way of seeing himself and the world around him.

A powerful reminder that growth doesn’t always come from doing more, but from learning how to be still.

This past Holy Thursday, Christ revealed something essential: that love stoops low.

As our resident scholars gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the washing of the feet, we were reminded that true authority is found in service, and true greatness in humility.

In a world that often overlooks and forgets, we learn that each person is worthy of care, dignity, and love.

This is the gospel we carry with us, behind and beyond prison walls.
