Meet Maudlin a newly baptized memeber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Harlem! We got to ask her a few questions and learn from her great faith!

•How did you get into contact with the church?

~I got in contact with the church because of Instagram !

•Why did you decide to get baptized?

~I went to Jesus I want to be baptized because I wanted a new life, a new name, a new mission, a new start with my real father and Jesus whom is Christ his word is everlasting !

•How has the your testimony of Jesus Christ grown?

~My testimony is still growing and by keep the commandments of god and his grace is good ! Then I got baptized and got my first Bible another testament! So that meant my faith was strong and that's why it's still growing !

•What would you say to someone who is searching to come closer to Jesus Christ?

~Someone who is searching Jesus Christ should just say his name "Jesus " Jesus " Jesus " Jesus Christ"and tell me how there souls feels renewed and ready to be willing to serve and honor thee lord our god our father our everything the one everyone can count on! I say thee things in the name of Jesus Christ,Amen 🙏🏽

"I have felt God's love when I started to pray more and speak to Him. The first day that I had read the very first line in the Book of Mormon I just felt this comfort come over me that I had never felt before. I felt happier."

Meet Coco! As a new member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Harlem he shares his faith filled journey closer to Christ.

~How did you get into contact with the church?

"I was in a dark time in my life, lost and using worldly objects to deal with problems going on during that time. Mentors that I respected suggested that I come closer to Christ, one day after a night of partying with my brother I went to the store to buy some more drinks for later. Before I got there I was stopped by missionaries and from there my journey in the church started."

~Why did you decide to get baptized?

"When I was deciding to be baptized I looked at the people at the church and saw how they came together happier than most people I see on the streets. I was welcomed by them as if they knew me. I wanted to be a part of the happiness that they had, I knew it wouldn’t be easy but worth it."

~How has the your testimony of Jesus Christ grown?

"So far in the short months I been at this church I been blessed more than I believe is possible in such a short time. I felt love from Christ. I learned lessons from Christ in particular how to be less destructive and narrow minded. Christ have given me moments where I truly believed I was supposed to fail or face adversity and instead succeed and filled those moments with joy."

~What would you say to someone who is searching to come closer to Jesus Christ?

"Anyone who is searching to come closer to Christ must first pray and open your hearts to him and allow yourself to build a relationship with him. From then on learn what you can about Him and apply yourself to grow a bit day by day. Make better choices in his name, overcome any obstacles you may face as you do this and our father will bless you."

Recently we talked with a friend of ours Michael McNeil. He is from the Bronx and has an amazing story and phenomenal faith in Jesus Christ! He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in June of last year. We asked him a few questions about his journey and how he has come closer to Jesus Christ.

•How did you come in contact with the church?

~I first came in contact with the church, when my heroes and heroines (that would be the good Lord, working through the missionaries) knocked on my door and asked me, if they could share the gospel with me today?

•How has your testimony of Jesus Christ Grown since joining the church?

~Well, first off, I absolutely love going to The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints every Sunday. By choosing to go to church every Sunday, it strengthens my mind, body, spirit, heart as well as my soul. My testimony of my master Jesus Christ, is that He lives. I am so grateful for His sacrifice. Blessed be the good Lord, King Jesus.

•How do you make time for Christ in your life?

~The way I chose to make time for Christ in my life is by choosing to pray every single morning, reading the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also pray in the evening time before I go to bed. Blessed times. Amen and Amen. Oh, and by the way, I absolutely love reading the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon!!! Blessed times.

•What would you say to someone who is searching to come closer to Jesus Christ?

~ I do believe that I would say that, Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. If anyone needs help with finding out about Jesus Christ they should go into a prayer to our heavenly Father first. Then seek out a great Holy scriptures based church , preferably The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, and ask about Jesus Christ as a humbled child of God. And I do believe without a shadow of a doubt, that humility is greatness in the eyes of Father God!! Then choose to be baptized. Blessed times. Amen and Amen.
