Topic: The Guide By Which Our Prayer Must Reflect

Luke 11:1-4 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

After Jesus prayed at a certain place, one of the disciples asked Christ to teach them how they can also pray. Remember these disciple were with Christ all the time and if they wanted to go with Jesus to pray they could have done so. What the disciple was looking for was a quick way of prayer, but there is no short cut to prayer than doing it always. Every one of the outline of prayer Jesus gave has extensive knowledge when it comes to the mystery behind. We must address and recognize God with honor and respect. Not just the recitation of but the reflection of a true and pure conscience. We must forgive others so that we can be forgiven by God. Stay focused in Christ and be prayerful. Topic: Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

God never want his people to be anxious about anything. As Christ gave the assurance of a better future in eternity he also give the assurance of living in this world victoriously. Do not give up but pray and trust in the lord. The current world situations give the reason to have confidence in God for the future ahead. Those who do not see the hope of salvation in Christ have every reason to be anxious and their heart must be troubled because they believe not in Jesus Christ. Topic: Let Us Put On The Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 13:12-14 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

We must put on Christ like we do with our clothes otherwise we are naked in this world and will live like the world. Once we repent of sin and accept Christ to be our lord, we move from darkness to the daylight of righteousness. We can not live in the past of ungodliness any longer. We must avoid chambering (harboring sin). Avoid flirtation things that can predispose us to a fall and let the bible become our daily seeking. We must never create any condition or situation that set the stage for sin. This is one of the greatest challenge for Christians in this sin-driven world we live in. Topic: Weapons Formed Will Not Work ******************************************************
Isaiah 54:15-17 15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

God has said that the enemy will act and gather against us, but they can not succeed. The powers of darkness have set the believer as their target. God created all creation, including the enemy who forge weapons to destroy. God know every single strategy that the devil set out to implement and he make sure that the devils wicked weapons fail and fall. We need to be confident in the Lord and pray a prayer of thanksgiving and strike very hard against satan’s kingdom. We must never be afraid because God got our back, and none of the witches and demons can succeed. When the devil wage war, stay on your knees in prayer and stand up for spiritual warfare prayer. Set confusion in the camp of the enemy. May God cause all the weapons form against you fail and every tongue that rise against you be condemned. Stay focused in Christ and be prayerful. The old self must be put to death with Christ at all cost, because the whole intentions of the old self is to wage war against our inner born again self. Our old nature will flare up from time to time, therefore, whenever you begin to feel and see the old thoughts and it's lustful desires come around, crucify it on your knees and speak the word of God. Submit the self to God and allow God to work the nature of Christ character into you. The last personality of the old man to leave is its thoughts which can only be dealt with by letting the mind of Christ be in us. We also must deliberately learn what the Scriptures say about the mannerism of Jesus and meditate on the word until we are transformed by the same. Topic: Finding God In The Midst Of The Chaos

Jeremiah 29:11-14 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

This was a letter Jeremiah sent to the captives in Babylon at the beginning of their seventy years captivity. Whiles Jeremiah was giving the truth, there were false prophet who succeded in deceiving Israel for years, after Jeremiah warned them against these false prophets, but since the false prophets appealed to their sinful ways of life, they saw Jeremiah and his words of truth as a threat to them. When the captivity finally happened, the false prophet were also taken. Whilst in captivity, the false prophets lied to them that the captivity would be over soon; the false prophets progressively lied to the people. God had to remind them through Jeremiah that he as God does not lie, therefore they should ignore the false prophets. God told them about the good plans he had for them, he encouraged them to seek him and pray for the peace of Babylon, he gave them the assurance of reinstating them to their own land, but he did not shorten the years of their captivity. There might be a situation you have found yourself in, after many years of ignoring the truth. After many years of not heeding the voice of God you found yourself in a predicament. If you will humble yourself and repent God will build your character for the good plans he has for you in the future. Get rid of pride and the false narratives the false prophets have given you. Joel 2:23-26 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Everyone in their lifetime, one way or another, has gone through a period of time that they felt that all was lost. There are people who you spent your time and money on, only to find out that they did not have your welfare at heart. Other things lost was due to our rebellion or our ignorant of what God’s promises are. Whatever precipitated our loss, we can do one thing to change our loss, and that is to call on God and amend our ways. Let us return to the Lord in repentance and ask for his mercy so that he can restore us. Those years and the things we have lost, he will restore. The locust, cankerworm, caterpillar, and the palmerworm are the demons and forces who gain access to our lives because of sin and bad decisions we made, but as we return to our God, he will destroy them and restore the lost we incurred over the years. Topic: Examine Yourself And Your Faith By The Truth

2 Corinthians 13:5-7 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. 7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

2 Timothy 3:16 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

One must examine himself or herself with a proper standard, which is the Holy Scriptures. Self examination is intended to reveal what is in a person or the kind of life we are living as compared with what the Scriptures redquires of us. We are not just talking about praying, reading the Scriptures and listening to gospel music. We are talking about living your life according Scriptures and bearing the fruits of repentance or righteous fruits that are manifested in your lifestyle; examine the way you present yourself, the things you engage in, your thought life, and your secret life. Does your life testify a genuine Christian before God? Do not be quick to say yes, because we are not talking about your religious activities that are culturally manmade. Are you fill with the Holy Spirit and do you have conviction for correction. Do you run from sin and run to God and plead for forgiveness when you sin. Do you contribute to things that setup for sin or are you involved in perpetual sin. When we come to Christ there must first be the truth of the gospel been taught to us by which we must also examine ourselves to know that we are still in the faith. Topic: Do Not Expect The Wicked To Repent Quickly

One of the disappointment believers sometimes fall for is the expectation that the wicked will repent as soon as they hear the good news. The wicked in many ways is very vicious in their ways and their motive is to either make accept their ways or make you like them so that they can rest their false conscience. God has sent warnings everywhere to awaken the ungodly but they have not heed these warnings. God has not forgotten his plan; he is only gathering all together so that he will punish the wicked at once on the day of judgment.
