A special day for Bankhalter family!

Yesterday was the bris of Rabbi’s first grandson — the first baby boy of the next generation — and Rabbi Yakov had the tremendous honor of being his sandek.

Little Yisrael Dov was born on Chai Elul, the 18th of Elul, the birthday of the Yisrael Baal Shemtov and was given the name Yisrael Dov.

Watching the Rabbi hold his grandson as sandek was such a beautiful full-circle moment — a huge honor for him and a very special moment for the entire family.

Welcome to the covenant of Avraham Avinu, Yisrael Dov 🤍
May you grow לתורה, לחופה ולמעשים טובים. Mazel tov to the happy and proud parents Mendy and Necha!

First photo features four generations of Bankhalter boys staring with the famous Zaidy!

This past week we had an honor of hosting a special ceremony for our dear friends Eithan and Miriam and their beautiful son 💛

✨ Pidyon HaBen — Redemption of the Firstborn is an ancient Jewish tradition!

Traditionally, on the 31st day of a firstborn son’s life, his parents “redeem” him from a Kohen with five silver coins — a mitzvah that connects us all the way back to the Exodus from Egypt.

More than a ceremony, it’s a powerful reminder that our children are not simply ours — they are precious souls entrusted to us by Hashem. 🤍

A moment of gratitude, holiness, and a beautiful link in the chain of generations. Mazel tov Eithan and Miriam!

Have you ever attended Pidyon HaBen or hosted one?

We had the incredible honor of serving as kvatter and kvatterin at the Brit Milah of our dear friends and community members, Miriam and Eytan. ❤️

The kvatter and kvatterin are the honored couple who carry the baby from the mother’s arms into the room where the brit takes place—a beautiful role that symbolizes bringing a child into the covenant of the Jewish people.

A Brit Milah is a beautiful, joyous celebration marking a baby’s very first mitzvah. Mazal tov to the entire family! May this precious little one grow to Torah, chuppah, and maasim tovim!

The main purpose of our little Florida getaway was celebrating the wedding of our dear friends and community members, Brian and Kat. ❤️

Their rooftop chuppah at Chabad of Sunny Isles was absolutely magical—filled with so much love, joy, and holiness.

Avital the incredible honor of walking Kat down the aisle alongside her mother, and Rabbi Yakov was privileged to say a blessing under the chuppah. Being part of Kat and Brian’s journey has been such a meaningful gift, and witnessing this beautiful milestone was deeply moving.

We wish you both a lifetime of building a home filled with love, laughter, peace, good health, and endless brachos. May your home always be open to others, filled with Torah, mitzvot, and the Divine Presence, and may you continue to grow together in happiness for many years to come. Mazal Tov! 🤍✨
