🌙✨ Before you close your eyes tonight, remember this:
Not every saint changed the world with a sermon.
Some changed it with a smile.
Some with a quiet prayer.
Some simply by remaining faithful when nobody was watching.

Heaven is filled with people whose names history forgot, but whose love God never missed.

So if today felt ordinary...
if your prayers felt weak...
if your efforts seemed unnoticed...
Take heart.
The stars do not compete with one another, yet together they light up the night sky.
Perhaps your hidden act of kindness, your silent sacrifice, or your whispered prayer was the light someone needed today.

Rest now.
The God who counts the stars also knows your name.
Good night, and may the angels keep watch over you until morning. 🙏🌙✨

🌾✨ “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.” ✨🌾

We often hear these words and immediately think about vocations, priest shortages, or the future of the Church. But perhaps Jesus is inviting us to hear something deeper.
When Jesus looked upon the crowds, His heart was moved with compassion. He saw people longing for hope, healing, and love. His response was not despair. It was a call to action.
The harvest is not a problem to solve. It is an opportunity to embrace.
Every day, God places people in our path: a neighbor carrying a burden, a friend searching for meaning, a stranger who needs kindness, a family member longing to be heard. We don't need a title, a position, or special qualifications to bring Christ to others. We simply need willing hearts.
The Gospel is not asking us to complain about what is missing. It is asking us to recognize what is possible.
A conversation, a prayer, a word of encouragement, a simple act of love can become the moment someone encounters God.
The harvest is abundant. The question is not whether there is enough work to do. The question is whether we are willing to step into the field.
🙏 Lord, make us laborers in Your harvest. Help us to bring Your compassion, Your hope, and Your presence to everyone we meet today.

🙏✨Mass is now online. ✨🙏

Join us as we celebrate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi).
In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims:
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever." (John 6:51)
Through the gift of the Holy Eucharist, Christ nourishes us with His very presence, strengthens our faith, and unites us as one Body in Him.
📖 Readings:
• Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14b-16a
• 1 Corinthians 10:16-17
• John 6:51-58
Whether you are joining from near or far, we invite you to prayerfully participate in this celebration and reflect on the incredible gift of Christ in the Eucharist.
▶️ Watch the Mass and share it with family and friends.

"Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here..." ✨
Before you close your eyes and turn off the lights tonight, take a slow, deep breath. Leave the busy thoughts, the "to-do" lists, and the worries of today behind.
God has appointed a holy guardian angel to watch over you, shield you, and pray for you while you rest. You are completely safe and deeply loved in His care.
Sleep peacefully tonight, parish family. See you in the morning! 🙏🌙

❤️ REFLECTION FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY ❤️
“God so loved the world that He gave His only Son...” (John 3:16)
These may be some of the most familiar words in Scripture, yet they contain a truth that many of us struggle to fully believe: God loves us unconditionally.
Nicodemus came to Jesus in the darkness, searching for answers. At first, he could not understand what it meant to be born again. But after witnessing Christ’s death and Resurrection, he came to understand that faith is more than believing teachings or following rules. Faith is allowing ourselves to be loved by God.
Too often we imagine God as a judge waiting to condemn us. Yet Jesus reveals something entirely different. He healed on the Sabbath. He forgave sinners. He welcomed the outcast. He embraced the broken. Even from the Cross, He prayed, “Father, forgive them.”
The message of Jesus was always the same: love.
God does not love us because we are perfect. God loves us because He is love.
When that truth begins to sink into our hearts, something changes. Fear gives way to trust. Shame gives way to freedom. Judgment gives way to mercy. We begin to see ourselves not as condemned sinners, but as beloved children of God.
Today, take a moment to remember this simple but life-changing truth:
✨ You are loved.
✨ You are forgiven.
✨ You are God's beloved child.
May we begin and end each day resting in the certainty of God's love, and may that love overflow into the way we treat one another.
🙏 Holy Trinity, teach us to live in Your love and to share that love with the world.

I'M RETIRING 📖🙏💫💕😇

I’ve come to learn that there are all kinds of interesting rumors going around in connection with my retirement as Pastor.

I’m not sick. (At least I’m not aware of it.) I do, however, limp now and then for various reasons, some of which will pass. I tore the meniscus on my right knee in 2018. It generally causes me no pain, but I have to be careful that I don’t twist suddenly. I’ve decided not to have surgery on it.

The week after Easter a table fell on my foot breaking the big toe on my right foot. It took four weeks before I could wear a shoe on each foot. All better now. I’ve even bought a new pair of shoes to celebrate.

A month ago, I had cataracts removed from both eyes. It took that long for my eyes to be fully functional. I’m seeing a whole new world now.

I will formally pass the torch to Father John Thomas Lane, SSS on August 15 th when Bishop Whelan will install him as Pastor. I will remain at St. Jean’s as Pastor Emeritus and will be available whenever I’m needed.

I’m 78 years old and have been Pastor of St. Jean’s for 25 years. I’ve been Chaplain to the Convent of the Sacred Heart for 24 of those years. I’m really looking forward to a rest. I’m especially happy to be relieved of administrative duties. Please be happy with me and for me.

A big hug to everybody. 🩵
Fr. John Kamas, SSS
