“No shirt, no shoes, no service.” Those were the words on a sign that my wife and I saw as we were leaving a restaurant. Now we were near other places to eat, but this one had a dress code, and were not afraid to say no to those who refused to abide by it. We live in a society that seems to want us to say yes to everything, and especially yes to their bad behavior. But as Christians sometimes we have to say no, because our no can save lives! Now we’re not trying to say that we’re better than anyone else. It’s just that some behavior doesn’t line up with our Christian character, and we know that God is watching, and we want to hear Him say “Well done!” So, put on your shirt, and put on your shoes, and enjoy the service! “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.” Psalm 37:1.
