God is still moving!
You only have to put yourself in a situation where he has promised to show up to experience this. New York Prays took off last weekend and God used this event to show me how he was working behind the scene to bring deliverance and healing to his people.
While in the chapel we were using, I received a phone call from a member of the group on how he wasn’t able to enter the building. I went downstairs to sort out the situation; and on opening the door to let the brother in, a girl came along; I asked her which event she was there for as they had a food pantry event going on at the church gym at the basement -where they were sharing food and gift packs; she said she was there for our event. We got back upstairs and I immediately observed the girl was behaving in a strange way- she would write Lucifer as one of her names- like a middle name- when asked, she will mention her name and mention Lucifer in the middle somewhere- she will be trying to command some people- go all over the place trying to touch people in funny places- she will pick up the Bible and hymn book and scribble indiscernible things on it- she would write her names on the Bible with Lucifer in the middle. I walked up to her and asked her if she was sure she was in the building for this event as the food pantry was downstairs- she got angry insisting she was there for our event. She was saying things to herself like talking to someone else- like having 3 to 4 different conversations- all by herself.
We endured all this- till the guest speaker, Reverend Peter Umukoro, came in. After his ministration, he insisted he wanted to pray for her. She resisted at first- then accepted. She would jerk and shake her head during the prayers. Her behavior was observed to have significantly improved after the prayers- as she began to listen and follow instructions afterwards; I also observed some person who came in angry and agitated asking at the end of the event asked- if we were having a repeat of the breakfast prayer the next weekend.
Through this situations, God showed me how he has spoken to people right from their homes to be at this meeting- people who heaven as earmarked for deliverance- forging a new chapter in their lives. People are doing inexplicable things because the hand of heaven is on their case.
Yesterday, during his message, my Pastor, David Ham, spoke about an incident at a fuel station with a pump attendant who asked him his name and what he does- after this he offered to pray for the young man but he said no; and instead he said “SPEAK”. He asked the attendant: ‘can you repeat that’. The pump attendant said ‘SPEAK’ . Immediately Ham realized God was speaking through the young man to tell him something- breaking his usual religious protocol of requesting to pray for people- eye opening! He began to tell the young man about himself, how he met God-and his relationship with God. After the discussion, the gas station attendant said: ‘thank you for bringing church to me today’.
The last story is about a 4 year old girl who went to her mum in the kitchen and insisted that the whole family must stop what they are doing and pray for a certain pastor named David Ham. The parents shrugged it away till the little girl screamed ‘ Mum we have to pray for him, right now’. The whole family huddled together to prayer for Pastor Ham that evening. Strange thing is this child has never made such a demand before nor after this single incident.
God is working behind the scene- we only have to be sensitive and yield to the move of the spirit- Thus saith the Lord, “My ways are not your ways; my thoughts are different from your thoughts”.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8
The spirit is moving; the spirit is brooding- IT IS THE JERICHO HOUR!
