New Hope Church

New Hope Church We exist to engage our city with the love of Jesus one relationship at a time. Come join us this Sunday at 4pm Things are pretty simple at New Hope.

Each Sunday at 4:00PM, we gather to love God, love people, and serve our community. Our worship services reflect that simplicity; we spend time singing to God, praying, greeting each other, and then Pastor Jonathan opens the Bible and explains the scriptures in a way that helps each of us in our journey with God. Everyone needs a place like New Hope, a place to discover the boundless love of God and make a few real friends along the way. We would be honored if you would join us!

There are over 50 direct commands in Scripture for us to sing, and singing is mentioned more than 400 times in the Bible! 🎶

Join us tomorrow at 4:00 PM at New Hope Church (address in our bio)! Pastor Josmel will be teaching from Hebrews 5.

Last week Pastor Josmel preached on the final passage in Luke — the road to Emmaus. Two disciples, devastated by the brutal death of Jesus, walk away from Jerusalem. But on the road, Jesus Himself shows up, opens up the scripture, and gives them hope!

Here’s a clip from that sermon. To hear the full message, check the link in our bio (SoundCloud or Apple Podcasts). We pray this encourages you and gives you hope through the Scriptures!

🎒📚 Welcome Back Students!

This weekend, students from St. John’s University and Queens College are moving back into their dorms and nearby apartments—and we at New Hope are excited to welcome them back!

✨ Join us this Sunday at 7 p.m. as New Hope partners with to host a special event for our college students. It’ll be a time to connect, eat, and celebrate the start of a new semester together.

🍰 If you’d like to bless our students, you can bring desserts, food, or any items they’ll enjoy—it would mean so much! Fun fact: many St. John’s alums still worship at New Hope today, including two of our three pastors.

📍 The event will be held at New Hope. For directions, check out the address in our bio.

See you on Sunday, students!

On June 1st, our church family voted to call Pastor Josmel LaFontaine as its next senior pastor— and what a joy it has been to see him step into this role!

These moments from that day remind us of God’s faithfulness in leading His people. In just two weeks of serving with us, Pastor Josmel has already brought warmth, vision, and a heart to serve the neighborhood with the Gospel.

Drop a comment to welcome him (or share your favorite memory from that day)!
