Εἰς πολλὰ ἔτη, Παναγιώτατε!

Today, the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity joyfully commemorates the 35th anniversary of the election of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople–New Rome.

For 35 years, His All-Holiness has faithfully shepherded the Mother Church of Constantinople, serving as a steadfast witness to Orthodox unity, peace, and the love of Christ throughout the world.

With profound gratitude and filial devotion, we offer our heartfelt prayers for his continued health, strength, and many blessed years of patriarchal ministry.

Today, on the first Sunday following the Feast of St. Romanos the Melodist, we join parishes throughout the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in celebrating National Church Music Sunday.

On this special day, we honor and give thanks for all those who offer their gifts in the musical ministry of our Church—our clergy, choir directors, psaltai, choir members, organists, Church School music educators, and especially the young people who are carrying this beautiful tradition forward.

At the Archdiocesan Cathedral, we are especially grateful for the dedication of our Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir, and Chanters whose voices help lead our community in prayer and enrich the worship of our Cathedral throughout the year.
