From our friend Madoka Kohno, who shared his Digital Art as part of Techno Hoyo in Septembe 2024. He recently visited Hiroshima and returned to the place that the NYBC Shinran Shonin statue once stood.

Today, on August 6th at 8:15 a.m., I visited the original site of the Shinran Shonin statue in Hiroshima.

This statue survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and was later moved to New York in 1955.

A single statue that has witnessed two great tragedies.
May its story remind us of the importance of peace.
