THE SOUL OF A MAN:
Every human being is made up of flesh/body, spirit and soul. The spirit gives life to the body while the soul is the recipient of the aftermath activities of man upon death whether good or bad. When good then there is eternal rest but when bad, everlasting punishment. The body can die while the soul cannot - Matthew 10:28. In every man, there is a permanent strong internal battle between the flesh and the spirit over the soul - Romans 8:5. The body seeks pleasure and appetite but the spirit seeks to please God. There is unending efforts by man to keep the body, to please it, and if achievable, to prevent it from decay. Observation has shown that little commitment is placed on care for the soul by a greater percentage of people. The less important (body) is cared for more. The Lord has placed the price of a soul of man over and above the entire riches of the world - Mark 8:36-37. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange of his soul? It is unfortunate that a lot of our activities have been in exchange for our souls. Our concern at Anglican Church Bronx is to bring everyone we encounter to the consciousness of the value of a soul and to ensure that when we will be leaving the world, we will have no doubt about the security of our souls. We have started it in Anglican church Bronx, New York and will continue without end. May God bless you as you heed this message in Jesus' name. Amen.
