Jesus said that we should lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven, for wherever our treasure is, there shall our heart be also. We can ask ourselves then these questions, Where is our treasure? What are the things that consume our affection? The reality is, that as beautiful as heaven may sound, we can’t get there on our own. It is a realization of our total dependence upon God that will cause us to seek him with our whole heart. From strength to strength, from victory to victory, it will be nothing less than Christ in you, the hope of glory!
