Former member of the Montego Bay New Testament Church of God and Senior pastor of Grace Assembly Deliverance Temple, Bronx NY. For years has recognized over 200 ministers of the gospel, community workers, independent business owners, and nonprofit organizations yearly throughout the United States, England, Canada and the Caribbean. Bishop Baker and his team, Love Gospel Outreach is a nonprofit rel
igious organization, with over 33 years in community work. Bishop Baker holds the title as, the father of the Caribbean Gospel Music Industry in New York and rightly so. Being that for years, since 1992 he has help minister’s of the gospel from every walk of life establish a platform both nationally and internationally. Whether by means of radio, or inviting them on his well attended gospel events. Bishop says he can recall a time when gospel reggae wasn’t appropriate, especially in the churches. He remembers when he would put in a Lester Lewis, Papa San or Carlene Davis on the radio and he would get calls off air asking him how could he play such music but today he can say,” look what the lord has done.” If you have a event or you’re on the radio and don’t have a little gospel reggae going, it's as if you aren’t saying anything.” Bishop Baker has honored some of Gospel greats like, The Late Rev. Otis Wright, Claudette Clark, Shirley Willis, Leroy Smith, The Late Dr. Hopeton Lewis, Calypso Rose, Papa San, Stichie, Carlene Davis, Gerry Thompson, and Norris Weir, formerly of the world renowned group “The Jamaicans”, now an Ordained Minister and Gospel Artiste. Dr. Baker says, “We do this in appreciation for their outstanding stewardship over the years. They’re many laboring in the vineyard for Christ, and in our communities who go unnoticed. So I took it upon myself all these years to be the one to give them that recognition.”
