CHRISTIANITY

A christian is called and should learn to live his/her life to the fullest. A surrendered life is what it takes to live your life to the fullest. As long as one's soul is still attached to earthly things, it is quasi impossible to be the true Christian that you ought to be. On several biblical passages, we come across the words of God that exhort us to:
1) "...Seek (zeteo=desire) those things which are above..." (Colossians 3:1)
2) "Set your mind on things above, and not on things of the earth..." (Colossians 3:2)
3) "...Seek (zeteo= desire)the kingdom of God and His righteousness..." (Matthew 6:33)
4) While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen..." (2 Corinthians 4:18)

By making use of the terminology: 'Things above, Things not seen, Things in heavenly places, Things in heaven, Things that are eternal, Things that are everlasting, Things that are spiritual, the bible is introducing us to a place beyond this physical and natural realm to the supernatural place to His kingdom.
We need to seek God until our mind is infilled with God, our soul is buried in God and our nature submerged in God. The book of Deuteronomy speaks of "...The days of heavens above the earth" (11:21), the days that people's life, nature and soul are so saturated and permeated with heaven. This is the goal, to be permeated with heaven thought, heaven mind, heaven power, until God's glory is revealed in us (Romans 8:19), until God is possessing us, until God inhabits every single cell, every drop of blood, every fiber of our being until we are one with Him. WE NEED TO BE SOLD OUT TO HIM AND HIM ALONE. AMEN!!!!

CIRCUMCISION

"Then what advantage has the Jews? Or what is the benefit of circumcision" (Romans 3:1)

It should be noted that the bible was not written with chapters and verses. It was later added by the scholars for quick reference purposes. It was a good idea, but people have the tendency to believe that a chapter stands independently from the previous ones or the subsequent ones. Jesus would quote the bible saying " It is written or haven't you read". As you read the bible, be cognizant of the aforementioned fact.

In the previous chapter (Romans 2:29), the word of God makes a clear distinction on who is the real Jew. The real Jew is one inwardly who has gone through the circumcision of the heart.
Only when the heart is circumcised you can "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul..." (Deuteronomy 30:6). The book of Colossians 2:11 mentions that we have been circumcised by the circumcision of Christ, "made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh..."

Now the question that the Apostle Paul rose of what is the benefit of circumcision or a Jew is answered in the following verse. "Great in every respect. Firt of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God" (Romans 3:2)
To have the revelation of God's will and purpose committed to the Jewish nation who were physically circumcised was an honor, how much more of an honor to those who are spiritually circumcised (1 Peter 4:11). The secret of getting revalation from God has to do with one's heart condition. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" (Matthew 5:8). Those are the christians who stand in the counsel of the Lord, they can see and hear God's word. " But who has stood in the counsel of the Lord, that he should see and hear His word?..." ( Jeremiah 23:18).

" FOR ALL THINGS ARE YOURS..." according to 1 Corinthians 3:21-23
We are bigger than life, bigger than anything else. According to the word of God, everything is subjected to us except Christ and God. WOW, THAT'S BIG!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!
The word of God is settled in heaven and has magnified us over anything else except Christ and God.
We are kings and priests according to Rev. 1:6; "...Where the word of a king is, there is power..." according to Ecclesiastes 8:4. Therefore, every word you release must accomplish an assignment. Where your word is going to land, power is going to land. When you want to demonstrate the kingdom of God, you open your mouth and you release word. Words are meant to serve you as a king. Thus, as a king we should learn to release word over our finance, our health, our future, our ministry, our children, our family, our country, our marriage.

THE FIRSTBORN

Firstborn _ bekor (hebrews)
Firstborn _ prototokos (greek)

The firstborn had special rights and privileges as the head of the family and heir. He received the family blessing. This blessing meant spiritual and social leadership. The firstborn would get twice what all the other sons received (Deuteronomy 21:16,17). Reuben was Jacob's firstborn and was enjoying special privileges until he forfeited his rights by sleeping with his father's concubine (Genesis 49:3,4). He was later supplanted by Ephraim(Gen. 48:5; Jer. 31:9). Esau was Isaac's firstborn; he despised his birthright and sold it to his younger brother, Jacob (Genesis 25:31-34). Jacob later received the family blessing (Genesis 27:28,29).
Israel was God's firstborn, enjoying a privilege position and blessings over other nations (Exodus 4:22; Jeremiah 31:9). In the Old Testament, the firstborns were heirs of a double honor and inheritance. They had to be holy(Numbers 18:15).
What Israel was enjoying, the church is now enjoying. The church is called "The church of the firstborns" (Hebrews 12:23). Therefore, we can say with certainty that we are first class citizens.
