Today is Great and Holy Thursday.
(Don’t be confused by Soviet propaganda:“Clean Thursday” was six weeks ago.)

This morning’s Divine Liturgy is devoted to recalling the very first “mystical supper” and all are called upon to commune with our Lord in preparation for his passion and suffering. We greet the Metropolitan (who will be co-served by his Grace Bishop Theodosius) at 9:30 this morning. We subsume ourselves in the 12 Passion Gospels tonight at 6:30 PM. Join us.

Се женихъ грядетъ…

04/06/2026

Tonight and tomorrow, a rare conflation of two profound commemorations by the holy Church. On holy Tuesday, we are called to remember Christ’s teachings about preparedness with a special focus on two His parables. This year, this coincides with the Great Feast of the Annunciation, a beautiful opportunity for us all to reflect upon humility and acceptance. We will be singing Monday night at 6:30 and Tuesday morning at 9:30.

And so it begins. The full Synod Cathedral Choir will be singing every day, often twice a day, starting tomorrow and, Godwilling, right up to the joyous commemoration of His glorious resurrection on Pascha, April 12! This year, the Great Feast of the Annunciation falls at the beginning of Holy Week. Come, listen, pray, and contemplate the profundity of His creation and the mystery of His love and sacrifice for us all. Schedule noted in the comments.
