The Joint Parish Respect Life Committee (JPRLC), now in its 12th year, is composed of Catholics from 20 local parishes who meet monthly throughout the year.) Two of its principal works are the quarterly publication, Respect Life News, and the co-sponsorship of a Catholic Speakers Series, One Nation Under God: the Family and the Culture of Life, with the Office of Faith Formation, Diocese of Brook

lyn. The JPRLC also supports the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., and the NYS Right to Life Committee's Oratorical Contest. Its members join in the monthly Helpers of God's Precious Infants Prayer Vigils and serve as sidewalk counselors and "pray-ers" at abortion mills. It also promotes Cenacles of Life prayer groups who pray on a regular basis in their parish churches for a Culture of Life in the United States.
