Join us at Yeshivat Hadar on April 25-26 for the first New York Shabbaton to experience a Shabbat filled with rich Torah learning, uplifting tefillah, delicious meals, and connect with an engaged egalitarian community here in the city.

The Shabbaton, hosted in partnership with Shaare Zedek and Kehilat Hadar, will include beautiful prayers led by R. Deborah Sacks Mintz and Dr. Jeremy Tabick, a late-night tisch with R. Aviva Richman, and learning sessions with Hadar faculty, including R. Elie Kaunfer, R. Avi Killip, and R. Dani Passow. Come for part of the weekend or immerse yourself fully—either way, you’ll have the chance to meet new friends, hear amazing Torah, bond with your Hadar New York community over warm shabbat meals and soulful singing, and be part of something special.

Planning to sell your chametz though Kehilat Hadar? Here's the form so you have it handy. Deadline is 12 pm ET on Thursday April 14th. Take a moment and get this task out out of the way, it's the easiest part of pesach prep! Hag Kasher v'Sameah

Since ownership of chametz (bread and other leavened products) is not allowed during Pesach, ideally all chametz in one's possession would be given away or destroyed before the holiday begins. Since this often represents a financial hardship, the practice arose for people to store away their chametz...

G'mar Chatima Tova!
Since our in-person services have been modified to prioritize safety, one of the things we'll miss this year is the opportunity to learn Torah from esteemed teachers in our community and beyond. We are grateful to Rabbi Eric Woodward for preparing this video d'var Torah for us (one of two that we have to share), in lieu of in-person divrei Torah at services, and we are excited to share it with you!
