Thursdays 7PM

Passion: The Buddhist Take

Most people associate passion with romance, ambition, intensity, or excitement. But according to Buddhist wisdom, the deepest and most transformative form of passion comes from something much more profound: a compassionate heart.

Compassion is one of the central pillars of Buddhism … but why?

Why did Buddha emphasize it so strongly?

According to Buddhist teachings, compassion is not simply about being “good” or kind. It is a powerful state of mind that transforms how we experience ourselves, others, and reality itself.

In this series, through Dharma teachings and guided meditations, we’ll explore the hidden psychology of compassion, how it changes our perception of reality, and how developing it leads to a more meaningful, connected, and deeply passionate life.

(at long last!) A wonderful new offering:
‘Parenting as a Spiritual Adventure’

Saturdays at 3 PM / FREE

A relaxed community gathering for parents who want to grow through the experience of raising a child.

Parenting can be beautiful, overwhelming, isolating and deeply transformative - all at once.

This is a simple, welcoming space for parents and caregivers to come together: to connect, to share openly, and to explore how parenting itself can become a path of awareness, patience, and growth.

Rooted gently in Dharma, we approach parenting not just as a responsibility, but as a practice - an opportunity to:
• respond with more patience
• stay grounded in challenging moments
• bring greater awareness into everyday life

This is not a formal class or structured program.
There’s no curriculum and nothing to get “right.”

Children are welcome and very much part of the space.

Because when we grow as parents, our children naturally benefit and together, we help nurture a more compassionate and aware next generation.

Moms, dads, caregivers, grandparents, and expectant parents are all welcome.

All children must be accompanied by their caretaker for the entirety of their stay.

With Debbie Feiner

$15 / FREE for Members

What truly drives our actions? Are we aware
of the deeper motivations shaping our daily lives?

In this class, we’ll learn how even ordinary activities can become deeply purposeful when guided by positive intentions.

Through practical meditation and reflection, we’ll practice recognizing the intentions that support our growth while gently letting go of those that hold us back. By keeping our deepest wishes close to heart, we can bring greater clarity, direction, and peace into our lives.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice.

If there is a way to remedy an unpleasant, difficult situ-ation, what point is there in being unhappy? On the other hand, if it is completely impossible to remedy the situation or to fulfil our wishes, there is also no reason to get upset, for how will our becoming unhappy help?

… yet we know from our own experience that they often do cause suffering. For example, one of our main interests is food, but the food we eat is also the principal cause of most of our ill health and sickness.

So what is the solution, stop eating food? 🧐 Only eat organic? Stop in for one of our classes and we will explain more.
