The Brooklyn Tabernacle

The Brooklyn Tabernacle The Brooklyn Tabernacle is a multicultural, non-denominational church in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, NY.
(5216)

God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord not only to preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow

out of the congregation across New York, as well as domestically and internationally. The ministry of the Church has from the outset reached out to the cross-cultural melting pot of New York City. It is comprised of men, women, and children of all ethnic and national origins. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continual emphasis on prayer, from the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting that is attended by thousands to the Prayer Band, members of the Church devoted to boldly “calling on the Lord” for needs from around the world.

Come seek the Lord with us at our Tuesday and Friday prayer meetings as we pray boldly and trust God to move.

Some Sundays stay with you long after the service ends.

The worship, the joy, the moments of connection, and the presence of God in the room—all are reminders that Jesus is still changing lives and drawing people near to Him.

Here are some moments we’re still thankful for.

Join us next Sunday—there’s a place for you here.

We were never meant to do life alone.

God often uses people to strengthen us, encourage us, and carry us through difficult seasons. Real friendship is a gift—especially in moments of struggle and adversity.

Don’t let isolation keep you from the people God may want to use in your life. Who is a friend who has refreshed your spirit?

God often speaks to us in the middle of ordinary moments—during the commute, over coffee, or in the quiet start of a new day. 🕊️📖

That’s why daily time with Jesus matters. It steadies our hearts, renews our minds, and reminds us that we’re never walking through life alone.

Take a moment each day to pause, reflect, and draw closer to Jesus.

Temptation can arise when we grow spiritually tired, distracted, or distant from God.

Prayer is where strength is renewed—it’s where God helps us stay awake spiritually.

Whatever you’re facing in this season, you don’t have to fight it alone.

Share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and join us for Friday Prayer as we seek the Lord together.

Being wounded doesn’t mean your purpose is over.

God still uses people who’ve been through battles and choose to keep showing up.

Sometimes being wounded allows us to fight even better, fighting a different way—with deeper faith, greater dependence on God, and perseverance through pain.

Share this with someone who needs encouragement today, and watch the full sermon “Eye of the Tiger” from Pastor Robert Barriger on our YouTube channel.

Prayer changes when it becomes more than a routine but your first response instead of your last resort. 🙏

God isn’t looking for perfect words. He’s looking for surrendered hearts, clean hands, and people willing to seek Him together in peace.

Is there anything you need to release before coming to God today?

Share this with someone who needs the reminder.
