2nd November 1930: Negusa Negasti, Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie I, known as ‘Lord of Lords’, ‘the Conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah’, ‘light of the world’, ‘Elect of God’, emphasizing both authority and divine legitimacy. Sitting in full imperial robes, the Emperor wore a crown made of gold, encrusted with jewels, and a robe of royal purple, symbolizing his divine right to rule. Besides, Emperor Haile Selassie was Empress Menen during the coronation ceremonies. Along with their Son, Crown Prince Asfa-Wossen, & Their Youngest Son, Prince Makonnen, Duke Of Harar. Empress Menen was not just a supportive figure; she had significant influence in Ethiopian politics and culture. Empress Menen’s participation symbolized the partnership between the emperor and empress. She wore an ornate gown and a crown, representing the dignity and strength of Ethiopian women
