Dear community,
Chogyesa was first established in 1985, later moved to Queens, and finally returned to Manhattan 22 years ago. Since then, it has been a home for Korean Buddhist tradition, meditation, food, and friendship in the New York City metro area.
This home, like any, needs care. From sharing meals to maintaining the space, it takes many hands and open hearts to sustain it. Though our current temple building itself is more than 110 years old, our community has filled it with practice, culture, and connection β and we invite you to join in that practice this .
Your contribution, whether a financial donation or a few hours of volunteer time, helps keep the temple alive and vibrant for all who enter. Even $5 makes a difference, and larger gifts go further in spreading the Dharma and making a positive impact on other peopleβs lives.
Together we give, together we share, and together we can ensure our temple remains a welcoming refuge for generations to come.
