As Scalabrinians, we are deeply concerned by the end of TPS for more than 340,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians. Sending families back to violence and instability is a matter of human dignity. Many have built lives, raised children, and strengthened their communities.
We call for a just and compassionate solution. As a Church without borders, we stand with migrants and refugees.
Let us pray: God of mercy, protect these families, guide our leaders toward justice, and make us builders of welcome and peace. Amen.

Como Scalabrinianos, nos preocupa profundamente el fin del Estatus de Protección Temporal (TPS) para más de 340.000 haitianos y 6.000 sirios. Devolver a familias a la violencia y la inestabilidad es una cuestión de dignidad humana. Muchos han construido sus vidas, criado hijos y fortalecido sus comunidades.
Abogamos por una solución justa y compasiva. Como Iglesia sin fronteras, nos solidarizamos con los migrantes y refugiados.
Oremos: Dios de misericordia, protege a estas familias, guía a nuestros líderes hacia la justicia y haznos constructores de acogida y paz. Amén.

As a Scalabrinian family, we join in prayer and solidarity with the people of Venezuela after the tragedy of the earthquakes that happened yesterday, June 24. May the Lord comfort those who have lost loved ones, heal the injured, and sustain all who are working in rescue and humanitarian relief.

Lord of life and hope, embrace Venezuela in this moment of sorrow. Grant eternal rest to those who have died, comfort to their families, healing to the injured, and strength to those who have lost their homes. Amen

Como familia Scalabriniana, nos unimos en oración y solidaridad con el pueblo de Venezuela ante la tragedia de los terremotos ocurridos ayer 24 de junio. Que el Señor consuele a quienes han perdido seres queridos, sane a los heridos y sostenga a todos los que trabajan en el rescate y la ayuda humanitaria.

Señor de la vida y la esperanza, abraza a Venezuela en este momento de dolor. Da descanso eterno a los fallecidos, consuelo a sus familias, sanación a los heridos y fortaleza a quienes han perdido sus hogares. Amén.

Today, we stand with the 117.8 million people forcibly displaced around the world, including 41.6 million refugees, 9 million asylum-seekers, and 68.7 million internally displaced persons based on the last report from UNHCR.
As Scalabrinians, we respond by welcoming, protecting, promoting, and integrating migrants and refugees. In 2025, the Scalabrinian mission assisted 546,429 migrants, supported 70,588 seafarers, served through 52 Houses and Centers for Migrants, and offered meals, legal aid, medical care, pastoral accompaniment, job training, and hope.
Behind every number there is a human being full of dreams and hardships. Until every person can live in safety and dignity, our mission continues.
Lord Jesus, who walked with the displaced and welcomed the stranger, protect all refugees and migrants. Heal their wounds, guide their journey, and open our hearts to receive them with dignity, compassion, and hope. St. Scalabrini pray for us. Amen.

Hoy nos solidarizamos con los 117,8 millones de personas desplazadas forzosamente en todo el mundo, incluyendo 41,6 millones de refugiados, 9 millones de solicitantes de asilo y 68,7 millones de desplazados internos, según el último informe de ACNUR.
Como scalabrinianos, respondemos acogiendo, protegiendo, promoviendo e integrando a migrantes y refugiados. En 2025, la misión Scalabriniana asistió a 546.429 migrantes, apoyó a 70.588 marineros, prestó servicios a través de 52 Casas y Centros para Migrantes y ofreció alimentación, asistencia jurídica, atención médica, acompañamiento pastoral, capacitación laboral y esperanza.
Detrás de cada cifra hay una historia de un ser humano lleno de sueños y dificultades. Hasta que cada persona pueda vivir con seguridad y dignidad, nuestra misión continúa.
Señor Jesús, tu que caminaste con los desplazados y acogiste al forastero, protege a todos los refugiados y migrantes. Sana sus heridas, guía su camino y abre nuestros corazones para recibirlos con dignidad, compasión y esperanza. San Scalabrini, ruega por nosotros. Amén.

On the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we contemplate a Heart full of compassion, mercy, and love for all humanity. In a world marked by movement, uncertainty, and divided borders, this Heart reminds us that no one is invisible, no story is disposable, and no person is beyond the reach of God’s tenderness.
As a Scalabrinian family, we are called to be a living sign of that Heart: walking with migrants, welcoming the stranger, healing loneliness. The Sacred Heart of Jesus does not ask us to love from a distance, but to come close, to listen, and to serve with courage.
May our communities become places where every person on the journey can find dignity, hope, and home.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, make our hearts beat with yours.

En la Solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, contemplamos un Corazón lleno de compasión, misericordia y amor por toda la humanidad. En un mundo marcado por el movimiento, la incertidumbre y las fronteras divididas, este Corazón nos recuerda que nadie es invisible, ninguna historia es descartable y ninguna persona está fuera del alcance de la ternura de Dios.
Como familia scalabriniana, estamos llamados a ser signo vivo de ese Corazón: caminando con los migrantes, acogiendo al extranjero, sanando la soledad. El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús no nos pide amar desde lejos, sino acercarnos, escuchar y servir con valentía.
Que nuestras comunidades sean lugares donde cada persona en camino pueda encontrar dignidad, esperanza y hogar.

On the feast of Saint Scalabrini, father of migrants, we raise our voices for so many brothers and sisters who continue to walk between fear and hope. In 2026, many migrant families in the United States are living through days of deep anxiety, family separation, detention, unjust processes, threats of deportation, and a climate that too often forgets the human face of each person. Behind every case there is a mother, a father, a child, a worker, a family, a story of faith and sacrifice.
As a Scalabrinian family, we affirm clearly, there must be justice. Laws should serve the common good, but they must never forget human dignity. Migrants are not numbers, files, or threats; they are sons and daughters of God.
We call for dignified and humane treatment for all, and for a real opportunity for those who have no criminal record, have worked honestly, have formed families, have contributed to their communities, and have deep roots in this country. True justice does not destroy families; it opens paths of integration, reconciliation, and hope.
Saint Scalabrini taught us to see in the migrant not a problem, but Christ who walks among us. May his example inspire us to defend the dignity of every person, accompany those who suffer, and build a society that is more just, fraternal, and compassionate.

En la fiesta de San Scalabrini, padre de los migrantes, elevamos nuestra voz por tantos hermanos y hermanas que hoy esperan entre el miedo y la esperanza. En este 2026, muchas familias migrantes en Estados Unidos viven días de angustia, separaciones, detenciones, procesos injustos, amenazas de deportación y un clima que muchas veces olvida el rostro humano de cada persona. Detrás de cada caso hay una madre, un padre, un hijo, un trabajador, una familia, una historia de fe y sacrificio.
Como familia Scalabriniana, afirmamos con claridad, debe haber justicia. Las leyes deben servir al bien común, pero nunca pueden olvidar la dignidad humana. Los migrantes no son números, ni expedientes, ni amenazas; son hijos e hijas de Dios.
Pedimos un trato digno y humano para todos, y una oportunidad real para quienes no tienen delitos, han trabajado honestamente, han formado familia, han contribuido a sus comunidades y tienen raíces profundas en este país. La justicia verdadera no destruye familias, abre caminos de integración, reconciliación y esperanza.
San Scalabrini nos enseñó a ver en el migrante no un problema, sino a Cristo que camina. Que su ejemplo nos impulse a defender la dignidad de cada persona, acompañar a quienes sufren y construir una sociedad más justa, fraterna y solidaria.

On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit, who descends upon the Church to renew our faith, enkindle charity, and send us forth to proclaim the Gospel to all peoples.

Pentecost reminds us that the Church is born missionary, open to every language, culture, and nation. For us, as a Scalabrinian family, this solemnity has a very special meaning: the Holy Spirit urges us to recognize Christ in every migrant, refugee, pilgrim, and displaced person, and calls us to build communities of welcome, communion, and hope.

May the same Spirit who gathered the disciples in unity help us break down walls, heal divisions, and walk together as brothers and sisters. May our hearts burn with the fire of mission, so that we may serve with love those who seek a home, an opportunity, and a dignified life.

On this day, let us also remember that the Church grants a plenary indulgence to the faithful who devoutly take part in the public singing or recitation of the Veni Creator Spiritus on the Solemnity of Pentecost, while fulfilling the usual conditions: sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, and sincere detachment from all sin, even venial sin. This grace may be applied to oneself or to the souls of the faithful departed.

En el Domingo de Pentecostés, celebramos el don del Espíritu Santo, que desciende sobre la Iglesia para renovar la fe, encender la caridad y enviarnos a anunciar el Evangelio a todos los pueblos.

Pentecostés nos recuerda que la Iglesia nace misionera, abierta a todas las lenguas, culturas y naciones. Para nosotros, como familia Scalabriniana, esta solemnidad tiene un sentido muy especial: el Espíritu Santo nos impulsa a reconocer a Cristo en cada migrante, refugiado, peregrino y persona desplazada, y nos llama a construir comunidades de acogida, comunión y esperanza.

Que el mismo Espíritu que reunió a los discípulos en la unidad nos ayude a derribar muros, sanar divisiones y caminar juntos como hermanos. Que nuestros corazones ardan con el fuego de la misión, para servir con amor a quienes buscan un hogar, una oportunidad y una vida digna.

En este día, recordemos también que la Iglesia concede indulgencia plenaria a los fieles que participen devotamente en el canto o recitación pública del Veni Creator Spiritus en la solemnidad de Pentecostés, cumpliendo las condiciones habituales: confesión sacramental, comunión eucarística, oración por las intenciones del Santo Padre y sincero desapego de todo pecado, incluso venial. Esta gracia puede aplicarse por uno mismo o por las almas de los fieles difuntos.

In the Ascension of the Lord, we contemplate Christ’s victory: He has conquered death and returns to the Father, not to distance Himself from us, but to open for us the way to heaven.
On that day, the apostles saw Him ascend in glory; today, we too contemplate Him with the eyes of faith. Every person who believes in Him, in every time and place, shares in that same hope: Christ lives, reigns, and walks with His people.

En la Ascensión del Señor contemplamos la victoria de Cristo: Él ha vencido la muerte y vuelve al Padre, no para alejarse de nosotros, sino para abrirnos el camino al cielo.
Aquel día, los apóstoles lo vieron subir glorioso; hoy, también nosotros lo contemplamos con los ojos de la fe. Cada persona que cree en Él, en todo tiempo y lugar, participa de esa misma esperanza: Cristo vive, reina y camina con su pueblo.

On this Mother's Day, the Scalabrinian family offers a prayer of gratitude for every mother, a living sign of God's love in the home and in the community. We celebrate mothers who, with tenderness and strength, keep their families together and teach the value of love and family unity.
