Tired of constantly worrying about money?

There's a way out of debt and into real savings. We've watched it work for family after family in our community.

If you want someone to walk through it with you, that's what we're here for. We'll look at your numbers, build a plan, and check in along the way. Free. No judgment about where you're starting.

86%.

When we measure the same way the publicly funded GED programs do, that's our completion rate.
The difference? Those programs require a 10th-grade reading level to start and cap students at age 24. We don't. We've had students begin at a 3rd-grade math level and pass the exam. We've had students in their 60s cross the finish line.

We don't say no to people who need extra help. That's the whole point.

If you've been thinking about going back to finish your diploma, we'd love to meet you. Classes in Coney Island and Brownsville.

Meet Paulette from our Coney Island class. πŸ‘‹
Working full time and showing up for GED classes is no small thing, but Paulette has been doing both with a determination that's hard to miss.
She came to GMLC already having passed one subject, knocked out a few more with us, and now she's in the home stretch with just one left to go. πŸ’ͺ
So close, Paulette. We're cheering you on every step of the way! πŸŽ“

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in our Graffiti Brooklyn family. πŸ’

To the moms in our GED classes who show up after long shifts, after school drop-offs, after sleepless nights, with notebooks in hand and goals in mind. We see you.

To the moms who pour into their kids while quietly chasing their own dreams. To the moms holding it all together when it feels like everything is pulling apart. To the moms who keep showing up, even when no one's clapping.

You are strong. You are seen. You are loved.

Thank you for letting us be a small part of your story. 🀍

Meet Chaniya from our Coney Island class. πŸ‘‹
She came to GMLC as a single mom with one goal in mind: get her GED. A few weeks later, she did exactly that. Now she's off to college.
Chaniya brought the determination. GMLC gave her the guidance and confidence to go after what she already knew she could do.
So proud of you, Chaniya. We're cheering you on every step of the way. πŸŽ“

A lot of our students are working toward a better job. If that's you, here are three simple things that make a big difference in an interview.

Show up early. Fifteen minutes early is on time. On time is late. Being early tells them you are serious before you even say a word.

Dress one step up from the job. If the job is in an office, wear something clean and pressed. If the job is in a warehouse or kitchen, a neat shirt and clean pants still go a long way. You do not need a suit. You need to look like you care.

Ask one question at the end. When they ask "do you have any questions for us," always have one ready. Something simple like "What does a good first month look like in this job?" It shows you are thinking about the work, not just the paycheck.

One more thing. If you have an interview coming up and you want someone to practice with, come see us. We will sit down with you, run through some questions, and help you get ready.

Rooting for you. Call/text (718) 218-4497.

Graffiti Groups.

A small Bible study in a home or other space somewhere in Coney Island or Brownsville. A few neighbors and an open Bible.

We read scripture, ask real questions, and pray for each other and those we know.

You don't need to know the Bible to come. You don't need to bring anything. Just show up.

Want to know where the closest group meets? Call or text (718) 218-4497.

Meet Crystal.
She moved to Brooklyn from Trinidad and spent years working in home health care β€” until a serious back injury forced her to start over. She knew she needed her diploma to move forward, but didn't know where to begin.

Then she found us. Crystal enrolled in our free GED program in Brownsville, showed up consistently, and started joining our Bible studies after class. One Thursday she told us, "I really enjoyed this today."

As of this week, Crystal has her diploma β€” and a faith that's growing right alongside her future.
If you've been thinking about getting your GED, Crystal's advice from her own Google review says it best: don't wait. Give us a try.

Classes are completely free in Coney Island and Brownsville.

Meet Cindy. She showed up, put in the work, and never looked back.
Every week, students like Cindy walk into our free GED classes in Coney Island and Brownsville and decide that today is the day things start to change. No tuition. No prerequisites. Just a seat at the table and people who want to see you win.

Your GED is closer than you think.

This is what outreach looks like β€” Just two people on a Brooklyn sidewalk with a stack of flyers and a reason to be there.

Our GED prep classes are completely free, and we don't want anyone to miss out because they didn't know we existed. So we hit the streets.

If you or someone you know has been thinking about getting their diploma, this is your sign. Classes are open now in Coney Island and Brownsville.
