Since 2012, by happenstance, we, Power Praise and Deliverance have been serving the Bronx and surrounding areas through food. It is a blessing that a NYC School opened their doors to us so we would be able to continue the great work we do each week.
This week I was asked about how many people do we serve and I usually answer with what our monthly number are because I didn’t consider it yearly, so I took the time this week to count our numbers and I can report that in 2024, we served 105,000 individuals and in 2025 we increased to 122,878 and now first quarter of 2026, 38,999 without the assistance of donor donations and no media, just word of mouth. In 2012 began with 100 families a month working with social workers and those involved with families. Today I was told that I need to make this known…
This is a dedicated work and often times a tiring work and overlooked but we continue to show up with our committed and dedicated volunteers who have stood by and with us. To GOD we say, “thank you”for entrusting us with this work.
No one should ever have to choose if they should feed their families or pay their rent. This includes your church members, coworkers and neighbors. Because they look good on the outside you never know what’s happening on the inside.
Food insecurity is a very real issue and with the help of our food sources we aim to tackle this one family at a time.
