🎶🙏A BIG thank you to our Sanctuary Choir, Community Choir, instrumentalists, directors, and all the musicians who filled All Souls NYC with beauty, power, inspiration, and joy this year!

Week after week, your music created space for us to breathe more deeply, reflect more honestly, grieve, celebrate, reconnect, and remember we are not alone. In a fractured world, making music together is no small thing.

As our choirs head into a well-earned summer break, we’re grateful for this season of song and look forward to welcoming an incredible lineup of guest soloists throughout the summer months.

The birth mothers, foster mothers, adoptive mothers, stepmothers
The “used to be Dad” mothers and “more than one Mom” mothers
The single mothers, separated mothers, stay-at-home mothers, unhoused mothers
The grieving mothers, those who grieve their mothers, and those whose grief is complex
For all the communities that mother
And for all who depend on the Great Mother

An elemental celebration of earth, fire, and storm. Veljo Tormis’s Raua Needmine (Curse Upon Iron) invokes ancient Estonian incantations; Gilda Lyons’ Momotombo channels volcanic power; and Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst unleashes a choral thunderstorm with bells, thunder sheets, and clapping rain. The program culminates in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, a thunderous celebration of fate, fortune, and desire, whose unforgettable O Fortuna remains one of the most exhilarating moments in music.

In a world that often asks for certainty, Unitarian Universalism makes room for curiosity. We gather not because we agree on everything, but because we trust the shared work of seeking—together.

Our beliefs aren’t fixed. They evolve with new understanding, new relationships, and a deepening commitment to justice. Freedom of belief doesn’t mean anything goes; it calls us to be accountable for what we believe and how those beliefs shape our lives.

May we remain open to growth, and grounded in the freedom to believe, question, and change.

Join us weekly from 6:00–7:15pm for a supportive space to process loss and find community. All are welcome.

The Grief Support Group is led by Gretchen Joy Gabrielson, our Spiritual Care and Membership Manager, and meets in Rev. Pamela’s office.

On June 28, Unitarian Universalists from across NYC will join together to march in Pride – but we need your help to make it happen! Join our general information meeting on Sunday, April 26 at 7pm (register here to receive the Zoom link: https://forms.gle/U6YE5aNwwZvoGc4i9).

If you can help in any way – gathering supplies, making signs, coordinating transportation, singing songs, and more – please join the planning call! This will ensure we’re all on the same page as we coordinate UU congregations across the city in marching together!
