Trinity AME Church Harlem Under Pastor Miranda Harrison, Trinity stands as a beacon of hope and light to all who seek God. We're building a people who cannot be torn down. In 1933, Rev.

Kinlock, his wife and four to five other Christians founded Trinity A.M.E. Church. Trinity started off in a cold water flat on the lower West side in New York City, and by 1934 Trinity became a part of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and was named Trinity A.M.E. In 1943, Rev. Julius Major was appointed as Trinity's pastor. Under Rev. Major's pastorate and along with Trinity's dedicated con

gregation, they purchased the current three story property located at 259 West 126th Street in Harlem, NY. Under the pastorate of Rev. Paul J. Morrison the cornerstone was laid, an organ and piano were purchased, and the mortgage was paid off. At last, a Church structure stood erect for Trinity's members to worship. The Church grew exponentially in spirit and love, under the leadership of our longest tenured pastor, Rev. Dr. Rose Ellington Murray, and it continues to grow under our new pastor, Rev. Miranda Harrison.
