God gave us The Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

We know it. We memorize it. And we do Bible studies on the topic of making disciples. But let’s face it…when we stand before God, do you think He will cheer us on for only memorizing this scripture, learning this scripture in different languages and dissecting it word for word while in a Bible study? No. Sure, He will be glad we did those things, but He will ultimately judge us on how we LIVED his commandment. The video below by Francis Chan compares God’s commands to us and relates them to our commands of our children. We care about the ACTION — not the understanding or comprehension of our command. God feels the same.
