Today, We want to take a moment to publicly thank and honor the pastors who have helped Fiyah Ministries down through the years.
Since we started in 2006, Fiyah Ministries has been blessed because there were pastors who opened their doors, gave us space to rehearse, allowed us to have concerts and services, and never asked us for a dime. They didnβt have to do it, but they did. And because of their kindness, generosity, and love for ministry, Fiyah was able to keep going and keep growing.
Rev. James Wilson, pastor of First Union Baptist Church, where it all started.
Rev. Joel Bauza, who was pastor of Calvary Church.
Rev. Donald Ousley, who was pastor of Spring Green Baptist Church. Rest in peace. Every time we thanked him for letting us use his church, he would say, βItβs not my church, itβs Godβs church.β I will never forget that.
Rev. Johnnie McCann Sr., who was pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church. Rest in peace. Even when I was no longer playing organ there, he still opened the doors for Fiyah Ministries.
Rev. Booker T. Sears Jr., pastor of Goodwill Baptist Church.
And now, Rev. Travis Boyd, pastor of Sharon Baptist Church
Thank you for seeing the value in this ministry. Thank you for believing in what God was doing through us. Thank you for making room for us, covering us, supporting us, and allowing Fiyah Ministries to continue serving, singing, growing, and blessing people.
Some people help you with money. Some people help you with opportunity. These pastors helped us with open doors, and that has meant more than words can fully explain.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Fiyah Ministries would not be where it is today without the pastors who made room for us along the way. ππΎπ₯
