On Friday April 10, join us for an Easter symphony at Old St. Patrick's in SoHo on Friday, April 10. It features a 60-member orchestra, including many Juilliard musicians, performing Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, and Dvořák in a Catholic context.

The theme is “Ever Ancient, Ever New,” featuring leading Catholic composer Frank La Rocca, who will be visiting. Below is more information, and hope to see you there.

We think this hasn't been done in New York City in a long time. Or ever.

On February 26 at Blessed Sacrament, The Higher Word Orchestra will be playing Mozart’s Requiem in its entirety to accompany a Solemn High Mass celebrated by Fr. Brian Graebe for the repose of the soul of Alex Klucik. While many people are familiar with Mozart's masterpiece, they may be accustomed to listening to it out of context. Mozart's masterpiece was written for liturgical use, and this orchestral performance is a rare opportunity to hear this landmark of the classical repertoire in its spiritual home, the Mass.
