The Salvation Army New York Temple “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. May God bless you! If you want to learn more about us, please stop by!

And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.” John 3:16 Come Worship with us on Sunday mornings @ 11:00AM at New York Temple, 120 West 14th Street, 3rd Floor. God loves you so much!

The Salvation Army, which was founded in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth has spread from London, England, to many parts of t

he world. In March 1880, General William Booth sent Commissioner George Scott Railton and seven female officers to the United States in 1880 to formalize the effort of The Salvation Army in the United States. Their initial street meeting was held on the dockside at Battery Park in New York City on March 10, 1889, the day they arrived. Today, over 140 years later, The Salvation Army New York Temple Corps serves as a beacon of hope for those in need; and a center of worship and spiritual growth for all!

We are so grateful for the volunteers and church members who came alongside us to serve our community today. Together, we served over 700 adults and children a delicious Thanksgiving meal, and we were also able to distribute new coats and backpacks thanks to the generosity of various donors. From us to you - Happy Thanksgiving!
