This is the sanctuary of the Church of St. Stephen of Hungary in Manhattan, the former home of the Hungarian Catholic community In the city, which was closed by the Archdiocese of New York in September 2015. The large stained glass window shows St. Stephen giving the royal crown which had been bestowed on him by the pope to Our Lady, Queen of Hungary.
[HU] Ez a manhattani Szent István-templom szentélye, a város magyar katolikus közösségének egykori otthona, amelyet a New York-i érsekség 2015 szeptemberében bezárt. A nagy ólomüveg ablak Szent Istvánt ábrázolja, amint átadja a királyi koronát, amelyet a pápa adományozott neki Szűzmáriának, Magyarország királynőjének.

Recently our Sunday Mass saw two reasons for celebration. The first was the visit of Father Roland Markus, Sch.P., who was visiting from the Kiraly Gymnasium in Győr. The other was the honoring of the President of the Lay Committee, Robert Winer, by a Hungarian social organization for his service to the community.
