There is a report being filed against you right now.
It comes daily. Sometimes it arrives before you open your eyes — in the form of a number, a diagnosis, a silence where a voice used to be. It is detailed. It is confident. And it is loud.
The question Paul raises in 2 Corinthians 4 is not whether the report is real. It is. He had his own: beatings, imprisonments, shipwrecks, a thorn in the flesh he couldn’t shake. He doesn’t minimize any of it. What he does is refuse to let it be final.
“For which cause we faint not.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16
That opening line is a refusal before it is anything else. Not an explanation. Not a theology lecture. A refusal. We do not faint. We do not fold. We do not give in.
And then he tells you why.
You are not just surviving the trial. You are being made in it.
