We are so grateful to Cardinal Dolan for his many years of leadership in the Archdiocese of New York!

He has been a steadfast advocate for the protection of vulnerable human life, from the unborn and their mothers to the disabled, sick, and elderly nearing the end of life.

We thank him for his support of all those who are involved in efforts to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life, and for the strength of his preaching about the Church's teachings about life and love.

May his witness continue to inspire many to receive the gift of life more deeply!

The Good Newsroom was on the ground at the 2026 March for Life in Washington, D.C. on January 23.

An estimated 150,000 marchers participated in the 2026 event to protect the living at all stages, including many who bussed in from the Archdiocese of New York.

“Being pro-life is not, N-O-T, a one-sided issue. And I’m going to prove it to you. Because too many times, we stand on one side of the fence when we say, ‘Well, I’m pro-life,’ but do we stand on the other side of the fence as well?” said Archdiocese of New York Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Espaillat in his homily on Friday.
