Good morning all!! It’s Worship Wednesday ❤️

On Sunday, our sermon was titled “The Gentle God Who Forces Your Hand.”

Sometimes God will pause your plans to position your purpose.
What feels like a closed door, delay, heartbreak, or interruption can actually be Heaven whispering, “stay here until you’re strengthened.”

In Acts 1:4, Jesus told the disciples to wait.
In verse 8, He revealed why, and that’s because power was coming.
The waiting room was not punishment, it was preparation. The stillness was not abandonment, it was strategy.
There are seasons where our gentle God will force your hand, not to harm you, but to keep you from moving ahead without the oil, wisdom, healing, or strength you’ll need for what’s next.

So we worship while we wait.
We trust while we don’t understand.
And we remember that what looks like tragedy to us may be God carefully arranging transformation behind the scenes.

“And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.””

‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

GOOD MORNING!!! Since the week started, I’ve been reflecting on David in 1 Samuel 16 for this Worship Wednesday. He was chosen, anointed, and called by God, yet after all of that, he still had to go back to the field and wait. The promise came way before he could actually see it.
Sometimes God will show you what He’s doing long before your life reflects it. You carry the promise internally while externally everything still looks ordinary, delayed, hidden, or unfinished.
David was anointed king, but there was still a wilderness between the promise and the throne. He went from defeating giants to hiding in caves. From being celebrated to running for his life. Yet during those years of waiting, uncertainty, and isolation, he kept worshipping. Some of the most beautiful Psalms were written there.
Not after everything made sense.
Not once the promise finally arrived…
He wrote these songs in caves.

That’s what stays with me the most. David didn’t wait until life looked good to worship God. He worshipped while things were unclear.
The waiting season isn’t punishment.. It is preparation. God is doing deeper work in the hidden places than we realize.
The cave is still a part of the promise!!!!

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬
