Once a year, the Jewish calendar asks us to stop and sit with grief. Tisha B'Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar that commemorates the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem and centuries of Jewish exile, loss, and displacement that followed. It's a day built for feeling something real: fasting, sitting low to the ground, reading Eicha (the Book of Lamentations) by candlelight, and asking hard questions about what it means to lose a spiritual home and what it takes to rebuild one.

Join MJE for a full communal experience of this powerful day because Tisha B'Av isn't meant to be observed alone.
