We are very proud of ALL our Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion participants at UNCSW. A handful of our Episcopal Church delegates took a UN tour together on UNCSW's first day, and as you can see, we were feeling empowered and inspired!

From March 13th – 24th, nearly 100 Anglicans and Episcopalians came to New York from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America – every continent except Antarctica! – to participate in the 61st session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Over the next few weeks we will share photos, videos, stories and first-hand accounts from their experience. Today ends the 60th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, although we await the Agreed Conclusions. Nearly all of our Episcopal Church delegates are on their way homes. The Episcopal Church Center's Hospitality Space is empty, the hotel's cleared out, the UN halls are sparse. Our hearts, though, are full and overflowing with the sounds of our delegates' voices and laughter. They wow-ed us with their passion for advocacy, their warmth and quickly knitted sisterhood, their present and rising leadership in the Church. As our Holy Triduum begins, we thank our brother and friend Jesus for them, and for caring for all of us enough to die on the cross for our sins, to bring us new life and resurrection. For being born to a woman, for caring for and being cared for by women, for connecting with women on his Resurrection morning.
