Chinese United Methodist Church Seeking to experience the love of Christ and make Him known. In 1970 the church was renovated and additional space was added.

The church was established in 1966 at Five Points Mission on Madison Street to serve the growing population of new Americans from Hong Kong and China. The church's first community programs included an after school center, English language class for adults, boy scouts, Chinese folk dance class and the summer children's center. In 2016, the church underwent renovations again in order to expand and a

ccommodate new visitors with an inviting worship space. Chinese language and English languages church gatherings are currently held every Sunday to serve the Lower East Side community. On May 2016, the English language ministry was renamed ARISE NYC with the purpose of reaching the next generation with the message of God's love and grace.
