Hi!

My name is Tzvi Abba and now l'm three

My parents are making a party, especially for me

It's more than a birthday, as you'll read in this rhyme

We're going to cut my hair, for the very first time

An "upshernish" is Yiddish, it means cutting hair

A kippah and tzitzit, I'll now get to wear

The Torah compares a little boy to a tree

Whose fruit may not be cut, until it turns three

If its roots are well nourished, it will grow strong and pure

And then the tree - just like me - will always stand secure

My new kippah and peyot will announce clear and loud

That I'm a Jewish boy and I'm so very proud

No more brushes and pins, no more ponytails and curls

Never again will I hear "what a cute little girl"

Join us for this special time & cut a snip of my hair

A Simcha is complete when friends & family share

*Tuesday, Lag BaOmer* (5/9), Year of Hakhel, *6:00pm* at *Chabad Torah Center, 393 5th Ave*

Love, Tzvi Abba

Don't Volunteer To Be A Victim!
Can we avoid negative thoughts, bad habits and addictions?
An important lesson from the eternal guide to life - the Torah.

While hundreds of thousands were enslaved to Pharaoh, there were some Israelites who were exempt from this labor; learn how you can do the same in your life.
