If you’ve visited our offices recently, you may have seen a brand new piece of art on the Youth and Family Engagement floor.

This is “Symbols and Stories in Blue: A Community Tribute for Rabbi Angela’s 20th Anniversary,” a collaborative piece made by our Nursery School and LCLJ students. Inspired by the work of American sculptor Louise Nevelson, this piece features materials, textures, and symbols connected to Jewish holidays and stories from the Bible.

Ideated, coordinated, and assembled by two of our amazing teachers, Dalit Guerevich and Rozzie Schatz, this beautiful piece now proudly hangs on our walls. swipe through to learn more about this incredible work of art!

A team that brought the entire city together. A team that against all odds accomplished what many New Yorkers thought was impossible. Our are champions once again!

And don’t worry, we’ve got a short lesson in Gematria for you because we couldn’t let this run end without a little learning. Is it a coincidence? Is it destiny? We’ll leave that to others to decide. 🧡💙
